Lulu Cake Boutique

Chelsea.
"Moist" is not the most appealing of words...kind of like "damp" or "flaccid"...but  it is late and I digress.
For Lulu Cake Boutique, moist is what it is all about and it works.
All of their baked goods from pastries to wedding cakes are incredibly moist, especially their retro versions of childhood favorites.

These signature pink confections take you back to elementary school lunch/recess where Hostess reigned supreme. Moist dark chocolate cake with a lopsided dollop of coconut custard is covered in marshmallow frosting and rolled in pink coconut flakes. They are literally the size of my face. Like its original counterpart, I could only eat half before the sugar took effect.

Lulus are an overindulgence for your inner 5-year old with their super sweet chocolate coating.
For your (unfortunately) outer adult self, the insides display some impressive flavors like red velvet and  lemon. Their red velvet is true to its name with cream cheese frosting inside while the passion fruit has a tart filling that tempers its sweet white chocolate shell.

Very sweet I say.
